<3 Dunnys

Homemade dunny art! I love dunnys! The white rabbit dunny, I made for Lauren because she loves Alice and Wonderland! The orange dunny painting was made and given to me by Elise! It's so awesome! Now the 2 dunnys at the top were Christmas gifts! And the rest just needed their picture taken :)
Yesterday I received this very sweet ecard from my lil cousin Liddy! I love when I get these! They really brighten my day! Thank you Liddy!

Our Christmas was so wonderful! We made some pretty tasty cookies with and without red dye. Lil LoLo was concerned about the red dye, she's the healthiest kiddo! We saw old and new friends! Chill'n with ICE, opened so many gifts, played with pups, ate sooo much food, played with RC tarantulas! Mama Mia is so good! My family is just the most awesome family! This was such a nice Christmas! Oh and Canon's cousin read my letter and now I have a super amazing Canon of my very own! Get ready for pictures people! Mickey boo is ready! I'm excited to get back to crafting and quilting!

Lolo and I made cookies with Jax for the whole Fox and Farley gang!

Not Monday :)

Today was not Monday and that is a wonderful treat! Though yesterday the day ended well with Cuban sandwiches and my hilarious family! But today was not Monday, and that means the weekend is getting closer! Plus today I got to go to a very special performance, where lil LoLo performed many Christmas songs! She did the best job! LoLo is a lil budding artist. Her family gave me a very sweet gift tonight, a book called Craft Inc. It's for crafters who want to turn there hobby into a business! This is one of the sweetest gifts I have ever received! It means so much, plus LoLo drew me a picture on the card, so double sweet! The card is the best :) take a good look at it!

And I am working on a secret ornament for crazy Jax. That's crazy in an affectionate way :)

good start to a creative weekend

Free99 Starbucks! Not only does a Carmel lite Frappuccino with an extra shot put a smile on my face, but a free one keeps in there, and $5 bucks in my pocket! Thank you girl who messed up all the orders at Starbucks!

Found!

I saw this (middle) pillow at the Tallahassee Fair, when I visited my sister. I have been wanting to learn how to make it! I keep forgetting to ask Jax, because I know she'd know for sure! I found a tutorial :)  I'm going to try it, you should too!Pin It

Good Company

Today was the Quilting Luncheon! It was so nice! The ladies are all so awesome! Everyone brought a dish, I brought a apple pie since that has been my speciality lately. We had tasty spaghetti pie, these crazy noodles that were so good, some tangy fruit salad, and much more! There was also a cookie exchange. All of the cookies were so wonderful. The host of the party had the greatest house. All the walls were covered in awesome art. Her kitchen was my favorite with a great view out to the yard. It was just a wonderful party. And to top it off we had the ornament exchange! All the home made ornaments were beautiful! It was a really fun afternoon! Here are some of today's ornaments! This is an ornament that I love, Merrilee did it a few years back! It's amazing, I need to figure out how she did it! Farley gals!

Christmas Greeting Cards! Made by Me :)

Kidrobot Santa came early this year :) I ordered some gifts from Kidrobot and to get free shipping I got myself a gift! Reindeer Dunny! <3

Are you asking yourself what is a Dunny is or why would anyone want one, here is alil explanation:

What does the name Dunny mean? The name DUNNY comes from yo dunny dun,an urban salutation.
How is Dunny pronounced?Duhn-ee
Who designed Dunny?Kidrobot Founder Paul Budnitz and Illustrator Tristan Eaton designed Dunny.
How big is Dunny?Dunny can be 3”, 8” 20” and as big as 4’!

Plus they are blind box, so it's a surprise everytime! Going Dunny hunting is one of my favorite past times!

Cool toys at the quilting luncheon! I'm going to see what these are all about! I really like them!

A few lil things!

Here is my finished Quilting Christmas Luncheon ornament! All done with that, now for a apple pie and a batch of vegan acorn cookies. This lil sucker was tough! I felt like I needed those glasses that librarians wear at the end of their noses. I'm so excited for the ornament exchange Thursday, this will be my first!

Here is a very hilarious picture of Mickey boo! If you look behind him you'll see the Polaroid camera I found at my parents house. It was my 13th birthday gift! Apparently Kodak and/or Polaroid are not making the film anymore for these cameras, so stores are charging an arm and a leg. I'm gonna go check this out! I love Polaroids, I think I loved them as a kid because it was instant gratification. Old school digital if you will, kinda. Everyone at Christmas better look cute because once you shake these bad boys you can't delete! ;)

love letter

Dear Canon EOS,

Please come back, I miss you so much. You took the most beautiful true to life photos. No camera compares to you. The iPhone camera is no where near your greatest. Even the Olympus pales in comparison. I just miss you! I'm sorry I thought you were heavy around my neck. Your 10.1 MegaPixels and zoom lens *tear*. I will learn to deal with it and learn to love the weight if you just come back.

Hope to see you again soon,

BeckStar

I love stars! Star are bright and make you think tada!!! Many of my quilts have been stars, so I thought my ornament I take to the sewing circle Christmas party should be a star. So with some help I made this! Look at how tiny the pieces are, the finished size will be 4x4. It was more difficult than I first thought! Tomorrow it will be finished. I posted the finished product then!Pin It

goodies

She's following me for sure! But she is making an honest living :) For $29.95 you to can learn to strip.....quilts!
I also finally framed two prints! One is from Uberbot, and the second is a Obey print. I'm very happy with the frames! The lil white bear reminds me of Mickey. That's one of the reasons I bought it! Now they just need to get up on the wall! One step at a time please!

Jax gave me a gift certificate to Keep me in Stitches, and I purchased these fabrics! Plus some skull fabrics for the on going Grave yard Quilt! I'm wanting to make a Kaffe star burst quilt. Some of the above fabrics are Kaffe, but some are Amy Butler's, both will be perfect for what I have in mind.

Getting closer...

At work we have a Christmas tree with all paper ornaments! A good chunk of the ornaments are recycled paper! We are a printing company, so we have plenty of excess paper left over from our runs. We had so much fun putting the tree up and making the ornaments. That night I rounded the corners to all the quilting recipes and gift tags by hand. Rounding corners by hand is zero fun, when you know that there are these quick corner rounds at work.
I also wrapped a bunch of gifts! And I made a plush DUNNY :) I can't show you the whole thing because it is a gift for my sister! Some hints: dunny with ALICE tattooed on his belly, and a pocket watch! Take some guesses! I'm getting excited about Christmas now, though I still miss Halloween!

Soon it will be Christmas!

Last night I made some Christmas gifts! A *tink* diamond ornament! And the silhouette of the sweetest kid ever! These pictures are not great because I don't have the amazing camera. These are actually iPhone pictures :( Soon I can have the wonderful-est camera back! I want to purchase a Gocco Printer! I would love to make MORE *tink* diamond ornaments. Make alot at once, and with the Gocco Printer that would be possible! This will be an after Christmas adventure!

I also put up my Christmas tree last night! It's a becky kinda festive! I'll put up some good pictures soon.
I made a very big mess! I have so many ideas, but only two hands! Plus I have a lil Mickey that needs attention, so cleaning is not top priority EVER! I do love having a clean work space!
Oh and here is my fabric that I got over Thanksgiving weekend! I have a plan for it!

What I learned today...

Today I played with a photoshop tutorial to enhance color. I was asked if I was color blind! No lie :) I guess what I think is nice, others think is tacky or "needs fixing". I'm not upset about it, I love the way the colors turned out! On a few different blogs, such as The Thomas Family Life, she has such rich photographs on there! She is an amazing photographer too, so I am lacking those skills. And ohxcrap, she must do something awesome to her pictures, because they have sooo much color to them! So I wanted to learn, and a friend found this tutorial for me! Thank you! And I for sure haven't mastered it yet, but it's just fun to play around with! The images on the left are the COLORFUL/tacky ones, mine, and the right side is the original photo. I'd love to know what you think! Trust me it won't hurt my feelings ;)

Super Duper

What a fun long weekend! Tons of food, family, and fabric. My siblings came home from school, got our hair cut together, ate, shopped, and played all weekend. I got to sew hexagons together, while cuddling up next to the fire (it was 65 degrees out). Oh all the pups met, which was interesting. I made my first apple pie! Went on a trolly ride with a special kiddo! Went to the fabric store, Keep Me in Stitches, and saw this hilarious book! And I made a pin cushion eyeball :) so all in all it was a wonderful weekend!
