New Yarn

I love when yarn is on sale! Look at all the pretty colors! Are you suppose to use a specific yarn type for crocheting? Let me know if you are, because I just buy whatever.

Yesterday was chilly in Tampa! It was 66 degrees, which is freezing to me! I had my first warm Starbucks drink, socks and hoodie on, and a fat little Mickey on my lap while crocheting these little granny squares! It was a very nice day!

So any special yarn? And which color combination do you like best from the three above?

oh my! I love those granny squares! I think I need to hop on the wagon and try these out myself. I dig the color combo you used.

hasn't the weather been amazing the last few days?! I just wish it would stick around :/

I can't choose a favorite! They are all good! Beautiful colors!

I just use whatever yarn. My favorite though is Caron Simply Soft. It really is soft! And they have awesome bright colors which I love!

I love that 66 degrees is chilly! It has been below 20 degrees in ND. I need the warmth of the yarn just to get to the car!

yarn sales are awesome! Unfortunately I only see them around spring here.
I think cotton is used for crochet a lot but I'm not sure.

I love all the color combinations you have there. But my favorite is the one with the red on the outside.

Jennifer - You should make some! You're stuff a crafty gal, you'd pick it up quick! I wish the weather would stay like this- it's beautiful!

Carly - I decided to do ALL different ones - thanks to you ;) I figures out I can do 16 different ones before I repeat :) Have you tried yet? You need to!

Thanks everyone for your sweet comments about the colors! I feel for you all in freezing weather, I couldn't do it! Move to Florida - it's wonderful!

Hi Becky! You are doing just great with your crochet... your stitches are very even and it looks like you have been crocheting for years!

You can crochet with almost any kind of yarn... from the fancy hand-dyed/hand-spun stuff to "plarn." I love experimenting with different textures and weights together to see what comes up.

Speaking of plarn, here's a great Youtube video showing how to do it ==> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdTm2V4ssvY

i like them all too!
& like ^she said, you can use any type of yarn!! i just like it to be super soft & not scratchy... because i'm weird like that. ;)
i always get excited about other people's color combinations, because I tend to stick with the same colors for some reason.
happy crocheting!
