Fun for hours

Stamp

With an alphabet rolling stamp (reminds me of our grade school library stamp)! Think of the possibilities! I found mine here.
My dream job (if it paid well) would be being a librarian, seriously! All those books, all that quietness, I'd shush kids who'd walk by ;) Card catalog holders, stamping the due date in books, the dewey decimal system, I love you! I'm sure it's all done by computers now - whompwhomp, but a girl can dream ;) What would your dream job be?

You make Librarians sound so dreamy :) My fiancee and I both work for a library (he's an actual librarian). These days (public) libraries are all computerized and bustling with Children's programs and homeless people waiting for computers. I wish they were still card catalogs and stamps thought ;)

hmmmm dream job - perhaps a part time gardener, that way it wouldn't be too tiring but I could be outdoors.

I've worked at libraries and in an archive room. I loved it entirely, the archives certainly wasn't digitized, but I used to love checking old classifieds in the newspapers. I found one mysterious ad for the sale of French "rubbers". You have to read it a few times to realize what it's talking about. It was from like 1918. It was so funny, I made a copy for my collection.
And, I did shush kids and even kicked a few out of the library for bad behaviour! I stopped for an assortment of reasons but man do I miss it! (I love books!)
