Carly, I LOVE the colors you picked out!! Secretly I want to keep the blanket ;) and so does Mickey as you can see!

I did a fancy little scalloped edge! 16 granny squares framed by a all the pretty colors you picked. I only used "I love this yarn" yarn - it's so soft!

Becky! I have to learn to crochet! How long does it take you (approx) to crochet one granny square?

Hi Becky!!! :)
I just learn to crochet last year! So you can definitely do it!! I had ZERO knowledge of crocheting. I just looked up crochet tutorials on youtube - I tried having my grandma teach me but she forgot :) It took along time to learn lol Now a granny square takes like 7 to 10 mins. Good luck :)

So cute! I am working on my second blanket right now (even though I am not finished with my first!) and am going to use 'I Love This Yarn' too! Glad to hear its so soft! I am using Carons Simply Soft for my first blanket but it's a bit more then the other skeins per ounce.
Yours looks sooo good! I can't wait to try a scalloped edge!

P.S. Other Becky- I totally just learned like three weeks ago so I can vouch that you can absolutely do it!

Thank you Becky, and Courtney. I have a dvd my mum sent me called 'The Art of Crochet- Getting Started'- I think it was free with a magazine. I already have some yarn and a hook so I am going to get started today! I did try last year but kept hitting the same problem...but I am determined. Becky, your creations are so lovely!

I just learned how to crochet this year and have yet to learn an actual granny square. Those colors are so pretty together, I'd want to keep it.
