String Art part 2

I told you recently I fell in love with String Art because it is amazing! I purchased a string art beginners set and when it arrived there were 10 or 15 sets! It was a site for teachers, so it makes sense I got so many. Since I had so many, I thought why not share, so I gave them to my crafty buds!
String Art
Here is Steph's string art!! I love the autumn colors she used!
I knew her finished product would be awesome, she's incredibly crafty and clever!
A helpful hint from Steph - I used cardboard as a super secure backing. The pins slip right through the foam otherwise..

I gave one to my friend, Daniel and tada! He used the string the kit came with, and Steph used her own embroidery thread. Guess Daniel don't have an embroidery thread stash! haha

Pretty impressive! Send me your string art photos!
Wouldn't it be awesome if I took a huge piece of pile wood, nails, and yarn, and made a GIANT string art! Larbear (my dad) if you're reading this find the biggest compass you can find!! We're gonna make this next weekend! :)

oh wow. those are so pretty & what a unique piece of art! every single one would be different. i want to try :) i haven't been to a craft store in so long...hmph!

also, ya i definitely think that the movie would be okay for eli. he's old enough to understand what's going on (i don't think really little kids would quite get it) there wasn't a ton of death or anything like that...i think only one owl dies and it's not in a really graphic way. it's definitely very kid friendly and SO neat!! take him :)
