under the weather

hi guys, for the past few days I've been sick! :(
can't craft or do much of anything, but I'm sure I'll be better soon!
hope you all are wonderful!
ps if you have any sore throat remedies send them my way - I've tried salt and water, tea, peroxide (super gross) any other ideas?

Try chloraseptic cough drops! They work miracles, they'll numb your mouth a bit but they also completely fix a sore throat. Good luck and feel better =)

In the Netherlands, people eat liguorice (always, but especially when having a sore throath), but most non-Dutchies don't like the taste of that. Tea with honey helps. Thyme-syrup, don't know if that is available.

Get well soon!

Hope you feel better soon Becky! I always go with throat lozenges.

When I was sick as a kid, my Mum would give me HOT apple juice, or apple and blackcurrent juice, it seemed to sooth the throat, and I still have it as an adult.
Just mix half a cup of juice with boiling water, even if it doesn't work for you, its a good dose of vitamin C!

I always rely on the hot water & salt. But my grandmother used to mix butter, honey, & sugar in a little bowl and you were supposed to let it melt a bit in your mouth & let it slide down your throat to coat it. I haven't tried it as an adult yet because I rarely get a sore throat any more.

If you are coughing, you should slather vicks rub on your feet & put socks on. I swear it works! My room mate told me & I swear by it!

Hope you get better!

Get better pretty lady! All I do when I have a sore throat is consume sore throat lozenges like crazy and drink warm tea with honey and lemon. It helps most of the time, at least for a little while. I hope you start feeling better soon. xx.

I'm currently sick again for the second time this month, actually I never stopped being sick in the past 30 days :/ Hot tea with honey seems to work good for a little while.

I definately recommend cayenne pepper in water with lemon and a little bit of something sweet(honey, etc)
Gargle with it a little bit and drink it.
Works every time!
Hope you feel better

sounds gross and it pretty much is, but it does work: get some Listerine and warm it in the microwave a bit, then gargle with it. Helps to kill the germs and bacteria. I used to have permanent tonsilitis and my doctor recommended this for me. It does work, just kinda icky. Good luck! Feel better soon!

i dont know if you have it in the states but we have an over the counter thingy called Difflam that you gargle... it numbs the throat and clears it up pretty fast. I get sore throats a lot with my CFS and this works amazingly well. Also because ur throat is numb it doesnt hurt and you can swallow again

get better soon!

I hate it that you are sick! It must be from the extreme in weather conditions, we are all sick at my house too! i rely on honey! it coats the inside of your throat and it feels really good. My dad swares by gargling vinegar then hot salty water. it's completely nasty and i'm undecided on if it works or not!

i hope you feel better SOON! <3

green tea with honey! and cold ease cough drops. Also, taking zinc (trust me it works) and airborne usually help me get over a cold faster. Feel better soon!
