All better

This week I have been pretty under the weather to say the least, but I was super well taken care of and now I'm feeling much better (2 trips to the doc later)! Just in time for my birthday!

Sashiko sampler embroidery for my swap + more! Done and done! I'll show you the finished product shortly, I'm keeping it a surprise :)

Getting ready to make a doily table runner! Mickey was obviously helping. I saw this over on Sherry's very cute blog.

I finished the granny square blanket! I was soooooo happy!

Just because it makes me smile! This is an old photo of my aunt Jackie, who is now a nurse, and my dad, her patient/cowboy! My next project is scanning all my Nanny's old photos and print them all up and put them on disks for everyone in our family!

January Birthdays

I am a birthday lover!

Nesting love

I had a goal over the weekend and I did not accomplish that goal. Oh well, I can next weekend! 

I bought this DIY Nesting Doll set on etsy awhile ago, and have never done anything with them. I need to find them, that maybe goal one and goal two will be painting them.

Also in that cute shop is this little nesting house! I want it, but I'm making myself finish the doll one first!

I was given my first nesting doll by my grandfather, he and my uncle visited Austria. I thought they were pretty awesome then and now I can appreciate all the detail and time that was put into them.  This little necklace is wonderful - found here.

Oh Happy Day

I saw this on Etsy and it pretty much summed up how I've been feeling! Happy Happy! Plus I love the design of this greeting card!

Here is the progress of the Crocheted Carnival Blanket for my sister, Lauren. Please excuse the terrible pictures! I just found my battery charger for my camera and 3 batteries, so good pictures coming soon!

Chelsey, I hope you make a crazy colored blanket like this! I want to see your Carnival Crocheting!

This is the only yarn I will use to crochet! All the others hurt my fingers after crocheting for a bit! I've only seen it at Hobby Lobby, and now Hobby Lobby has joined us in 2010 and has online ordering!!! I thought it was strange you couldn't order from them online, but as of Jan. 1st you can! Plus if you buy $25.00 worth of stuff, you get free shipping! Perfect!

Today I pre-ordered the next Sookie book! Probably I could just go to the store in May and buy it, but Amazon gives you a discount on pre-orders and sometimes I just can't WAIT- like a kid. So now I'm all pumped about Sookie, only I have to wait 5 long months!
