Current Projects

I started a granny square blanket for our bed! At first I thought I'd just go with one color pattern, but then I couldn't decide so I'm doing them all! I'm going to connect them all together with off white yarn! What do you think!? What I really really want to do is learn to make a zigzag afghan, but it looks so tricky!
Have you ever made a zigzag afghan? How'd it go?
And I've been playing with more QR codes! Just for fun I made this one! Don't be scared! It's just for fun! We are huge zombie fans at our house! If you can tell me what it says via email (strumpetscrumpetscrafts at gmail.com) I'll send you a surprise! :) Seriously tell me what it says and I'll sent you some Strumpet's coolness (give me your addy too)!! Deal! Leave a comment if you emailed me please! :) ps to gals how don't have smart phones - no biggie - I think there's QR code scanner for you computer! ;)
What project have you been working on? Any crocheting?
Tomorrow is Friday! Thank goodness!!

I know what it says! I am going to email you right now!
Also, I say on Knit and Crochet today a pretty easy way to make a zigzag blanket. It starts with a basic chain and then build off that...check their website for the proper directions. I don't think you'll have a problem with it (It is MY next project too! We are always making the same things! hehe)

Becky! You are an awesome crocheter and can totally do a chevron blanket! I made a baby blanket with a super thin baby yarn in a chevron pattern last year; it took me forever because the yarn was so thin, but was totally worth it!

Do you own a copy of The Complete Photo Guide to Crochet? There is a granny chevron pattern in there that works up SUUUUPER quick and is pretty darn cute. You should try it and then you'll feel super happy afterwards.

Are you more of a pattern or a diagram person?

Liz - I tried that pattern but I was so confused haha I'm a diagram person! All the way!

I love the colors you're using! I'm making an afghan too! A granny stripe one which is pretty simple but it's turning out really really big haha. And once I tried to make a zig zag afghan but somehow it turned out really badly! the zig zags turned into normal, straight stripes! I've been too scared to try making one again =[

Hahaha oh what an awesome QR - totally love it! I emailed you with the heading as "Braaaains!" :)

My current project is painting a kennel in Batman theme for work ( I work at a animal shelter) - we are auctioning them off at our annual Million Paws Walk (dogs, cats, ferrets, pigs, llamas - yep - they all come with their people!). So fun!

I'm learning to crochet now, so a blanket will be my next project! Excited! Your grannies look awesome!

I made a ripple afghan for my nephew--it was hard at first but once I got used to the pattern it was easy as pie.

I love the colors you're using for your granny square blanket--I think it will look really good all connected with white.

I love the colors you are using for your afghan! I can't wait to see it finished :)

I have yarn flowers that I made when I was little but never put together. I remember it being so much fun, so you have inspired me to look for my crochet needles and give it another go!

I've recently started a granny square blanket too. The tricky part was to decide the color scheme. I've ended up to a multicolored one but I think it's going to take me FOREVER to finish it! :-)

Aww, I wish I did have a QR scanner, maybe someday :P~

I know the code! Yay, I emailed you too. I love the colors of your blanket. I wish I had the willpower to finish a complete one. I started one years ago, I got bored after 15 squares. Good luck!
