My dress!

Wedding plans? Yikes! I've fallen behind! I have a zillion ideas, but no date or place! My family keeps asking and I got nothing.......BUT I do have my dress!!!! I had a tea length dress in mind, but I'm too short and they're too puffy - think marshmallow!
So just for fun my best friend made an appointment at Allegria Bridal in Boston, I seriously wasn't expecting to buy a dress! We were just paying around! Kristin just wanted me to have the experience of trying on dresses. I tried on a few that I wanted or thought I wanted - MARSHMALLOW! Then I tried on my dress - tight, long, and perfect!! The designer, Judd Waddell was actually there too! He did my hair! My dress was the ONLY dress ever made of that dress and it fit perfect!! I cried! hahaha! That's how I knew! Judd sketched me in the dress too! Pretty awesome! See how happy! I want to show Brian hahaha! I'm bad at surprises!
So what do you think!? I can only show these two pictures! But you get the idea! :)
Dress Sketch
I think Brian and I are going to use this weekend to do some planning! And the Florida State Fair is in town, so we can get some funnel cake and cotton candy - it will help us think better ;)

Almost brought me to tears when you said you cried... wow... must have felt amazing! I can't wait until I start trying on dresses. I have a date set 18 1/2 months from now but I haven't dragged myself to try on dresses yet. I need to. yikes!

Aww YAY! Congrats Becky - it looks stunning! And those buttons are to die for. I had the same thing - wanted tea-length, too short, tried on some others for fun and fell head over heels... its just the best isn't it.

I love that you cried - love makes happy tears :)

That's amazing, Becky!

And now you have a really cool story to tell your kids one day about how you found your dress. Definitely one of those moments where you know it's meant to be. :)

Congrats again!

Nice! I followed your link to your tea length post, and that is what I just got! My wedding dress just came a few days ago (purchased on eBay) it is a vintage 50's lace tea length (with a sort of cummerbund like the blue one in your pic) and they were so small back then I didn't think it would fit. I got it figuring I'd have to mess with it a bit, but sure enough it somehow magically fit perfectly! Isn't it great when these things work out like this! Exciting times for you, enjoy :)

Aww it looks SO beautiful!! You are going to look gorgeous. :) Haha I was talking to my boyfriend's sister last night (she's getting married in September) and she said she went to the bridal store, and wasn't expecting to find a dress... but the first dress she tried on she knew it was the one! So weird how things like that work out! :)

I love that you got to meet the designer and he sketched you in the dress...and it is one of a kind. **Sigh** every girls dream!

I want to go to the fair! That sounds like so much fun! It is suppose to be in the 70s today so we will hopefully get out and enjoy it before it is gone!

That dress was meant to be, and one of a kind to boot! And from what I can tell from the sketch and the sneek peek it looks amazing, the lace is really beautiful!
